Who is VinTri Hill?
Vincenzo Baldwin on guitars and vocals
Dimitri Cerrone on drums
VinTri Hill began in 2019 as a small-school cover band that was halted due to Covid lockdowns. During that time Baldwin performed a daily Facebook concert series and was recognized by local media (article) for his dedication to giving something for people to look forward to. With remote learning and quarantines in full swing, Baldwin went on to write more than 80 original songs with a vision to shift the band to a unique Punk Rock driving force. With Cerrone on board and laying down rhythmic and furious drum tracks, the duo got back together and forged ahead with a passion and goal to revive the sound of early 90's punk.
VinTri Hill has performed multiple concerts at a variety of venues, including local Town Summer Concerts, Private Events, Fundraisers, Carnivals, Parades, and at Empire Underground in Albany, NY. In October 2024, VinTri Hill released their second album, title 'Honor Society', a follow up to their 2022 debut 'Okay I Will'.

VinTri Hill Announces Second Punk Rock Album "Honor Society"
Brunswick, NY, Release: October, 2024. For Immediate Release
VinTri Hill announces their much anticipated follow up album, Honor Society. The band, consisting of vocalist/guitarist/bassist Vincenzo Baldwin, and drummer Dimitri Cerrone, is overjoyed with the record, which has been in production for over the last year and a half.
Combined with the physical CD release is the distribution of all tracks from Honor Society across over 100+ streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and You Tube Music. VinTri Hill is currently performing in Upstate New York at numerous venues.
As with their first album, Honor Society was recorded at Pineberry Records in Troy, NY. The album was Engineered, Produced, Mixed, and Mastered by Vincenzo Baldwin and Dimitri Cerrone, with both also serving as Executive Producers . Production assistance was supplied by Badavino Creative Studios in Troy, NY.
Honor Society is comprised of 12 tracks, with a fun and aggressive style that is a complimentary progression from the first album. The evolution in songwriting and pacing is evident in the track sequencing, and the the intricacy of the music and mixes, with their fatter and swelling tones, and mid-range guitars, are clearly present in "Method to Your Madness" and "Van Gogh". The band ensures they stick to their drum roots, although faster, with hard hitting and high energy lines and fills, ripping through songs like "Blue Jay" and "Red."
Vincenzo and Dimitri both describe a path of discovery and epiphanies in the production of this album. Dimitri said the drum recording was, "full of surprises as we found the right spots in the studio and the right amount of mics to get the sound we were really looking for. When we found it, it was resounding that it would be the right fit for this album." Vincenzo reflected on the inspirations of the songs, and how growing up and watching those around them choose to just fall in line and do what everybody else was doing, "played an integral role in not only the lyrics, but the stories and the passion in the music. We had a ton of ideas for an album title, but then we thought about the Honor Society in high school and said, its not a club as much as it can sometimes be a marching order to conform. We feel the songs reflect some of the tension and conflict that comes with growing up."
Although every song has its own individual backstory, the original lyrics and music sews themes of discontent that can be heard in the hard hitting "Numbskull", and the beautiful ballad of "Princess and the Cadet". A seismic shift focusing on anxiety and fear is overwhelmingly clear in "Sinking Ship", while alienation is the focus of "Call it Crimson". The band's unique ability to convey sentiment, loss, and change stands tall in the harmonic "Along Came Polly" and "Toxic Honey".
"Without Me", a stand-out cut from 'Honor Society' champions a break-up theme, with razor sharp guitars that sound like they are arguing, and tribal drum patterns and rapping cymbal taps that give the listener the feeling that even the couple's friends are involved in the rift. The song's grand finale gives one the feeling that they are at a train station, watching someone boarding and getting out of town. If music can have the ability to put you in a place or time, this special track does just that.
Renowned punk producer, Don Fury, has commented that "VinTri Hill, in their abundant youth, have somehow found a way to blend traditional NY and British Punk, while creating a unique sound that has splashes of 50's rock, and American Rockabilly."
VinTri Hill began in 2019 as a small-school cover band, but was halted in 2020 due to Covid lockdowns. In 2021 the band regrouped and forged ahead performing their original songs at venues in and around upstate New York. Their first Album, 'Okay I Will' was released in September of 2022.

VinTri Hill Announces Debut Alternative/Punk Rock Album "Okay I Will"
Brunswick, NY, Release: September, 2022. For Immediate Release
VinTri Hill announces their anticipated debut, re-igniting punk/alternative nostalgia with the release of their first album, Okay I Will. The band, consisting of vocalist/guitarist/bassist Vincenzo Baldwin, and drummer Dimitri Cerrone, is thrilled with the record, which has been in production for over the last year and a half.
Combined with the CD release is the distribution of all tracks from Okay I Will across a multitude of streaming platforms. VinTri Hill is currently performing in Upstate New York at numerous venues.
Okay I Will was recorded at Pineberry Records in Troy, NY and KBCB Music in East Greenbush, NY. The album was Engineered, Produced, and Mixed by Vincenzo Baldwin, with Engineering assistance also provided by Grammy Award Winner Kevin Brandow. Production assistance was supplied by Badavino Creative Studios.
Okay I Will is composed of 14 tracks that span from the angry and hard-hitting “Maddening” and “Break the News” to the rebellious “Clean it Up,” an in your face, aggressive composition reminiscent of Green Day, who Baldwin credits as a powerful influence. The album title is a clever reply to the Beatles’ debut title, Please Please Me, and the impression of Brit-Pop is clearly evident in “Manchester,” with its smooth hollowed distortion, paced kick drum, and tactical lyrical plea to the Gallagher brothers of Oasis.
Vincenzo describes the path to creating the album as “an intense learning experience, at times difficult and frustrating, yet immensely fulfilling. It is a bridge that connects us from our roots, to where we envisioned we wanted to be.” Dimitri re-iterates, “Something that we’ve dreamed and worked on for over the past year has finally come to life, and this is only the beginning of an amazing journey. We can’t wait to share this with you.”
Although every song has its own individual backstory, the original lyrics and music often carry themes of angst, heartbreak, and social discontent while also conveying hope, love, and sentimentality. Vincenzo wanted the music to be a “timeless backdrop to the lyrics that describe my own life experiences, as well as those before me.” The new record includes “Majesty of the 90’s,” a grand yet lucid reference to the conspiratorial deaths of Princess Diana and Kurt Cobain, the Nirvana front-man who Baldwin also credits as having a profound impact on his song writing.
“Classic Detective,” presents skilled taps, shattered symbol crashes, and thunderous fills, to weave a painful tale of investing too much trust in friends, while the ending switches gears into a fun 2-minute James Bond/Spy Vs. Spy guitar breakdown that gives a tip of the hat to three different music genres.
Kevin Brandow comments that “the songs are very well written” and the band’s chemistry is “on point”. The track line-up to the album is a “refreshing style” that comes from “two very talented young men who seem to be born in the wrong century. They somehow harnessed the past and are also ahead of their time. With a few live shows already under their belts, I’m looking forward to their next release, and watching these guys grow into something huge!”
